VIDEOGRAPHER — Montecito (Per-Project) | Capture-Only (Raw Footage Delivery)
We’re hiring a Montecito/Santa Barbara–area videographer to capture refined, lifestyle content for a top luxury real estate agent—deliver organized raw footage only. Editing skills are a plus for occasional quick selects, but post is handled in-house.
The Role (capture-focused)
- Film on location at private estates + beaches/trails/cafés; occasional walk-and-talk with talent.
- Work from a light shot list to gather cinematic coverage: wides, mediums, tactile details, time-of-day/light studies, neighborhood b-roll.
- Ensure clean audio for interviews/narration; maintain a neutral, grade-ready profile (e.g., S-Log3/C-Log, 10-bit 4:2:2 if available).
- Be discreet, professional, and confidential at all times.
Deliverables (raw only)
- Organized 4K camera originals (preferred 23.976/29.97), consistent WB/ISO, with slates/notes as needed.
- Audio WAVs (48k/24-bit) for lav + shotgun
- Folder structure & naming: ProjectDate/Location/SceneShot; include basic notes/metadata (lens, FPS, ND).
- Turnaround: same-day or within 24–48 hours via Drive/Dropbox
Your Kit
- 4K mirrorless/cinema body + fast primes/zooms; gimbal and sticks; ND/polarizer.
- Audio: wireless lav + on-camera shotgun (clean gain staging).
- Solid low-light performance and steady handheld/gimbal work.
- Bonus: FAA Part 107 + drone for lawful establishing shots; stills capability.
You
- A calm, self-directed operator who can compose quickly and read light.
- Comfortable giving gentle direction to talent (eyelines, pacing, marks).
Pay & Logistics
- Per-project / 1099; please include your half-day/day capture rate and any add-ons (drone, travel).
- Ongoing bookings for the right collaborator (weekday availability + golden hour; occasional weekends).
